![]() ![]() ![]() If my thinking is correct here, this means that the software in the Micro is looking at the incoming signal and rejecting the piezo, rather than this being a hardware issue as I've seen some people speculate about. My theory is that the mixer in the Godin is read by the Micro as a Piezo pickup, even when the control is set fully to the Humbucker. I think the difference is that the Godin has a mixer control, whereas the Traveler has a toggle switch. Interesting solution - I got mine to work with my Godin by running it through my Boss Katana 50 ii amp into the Micro, but that kind of defeats the point of the Micro lol!Īn interesting thing I've been meaning to add here is that the Micro does work with my Traveler Pro series guitar, which like the Godin has a hybrid piezo system like the Godin. I take it the wireless takes the impedance (or whatever is affecting the Micro) out of the equation since it broadcasts the signal instead of being "physically in line". ![]() I thought I'd share this in case others have a wireless handy and they want to try this workaround. And the Godin A6 Ultra does sound really good through the Micro (so many tonal options with the two pickups plus the amps/effects on the Micro) ! So it doesn't just address the pickup incompatibility issue but makes using the Fender Mustang Micro even easier "ergonomically" speaking. While this may seem like a weird setup, it's actually a nifty (and very compact) solution and I now have the Fender Micro right in front of me when playing (instead of hanging on the end of the guitar) making it so much easier to play with the settings. However, and in the meantime, I got it to work with my Godin (and other piezo pickups) by simply using my wireless (xVive) with the transmitter in the guitar (of course) and the receiver into a 1/4 inch coupler and the Fender Mustang Micro on the other end of the coupler (I already had the wireless and the coupler was $14 - so was worth a try). I was equally disappointed since it sounds so good (when it works).I also reached out to Fender to find out if they plan on a firmware update to address this (or if it's even possible to fix it with firmware). I hit the same issue with the Fender Micro where it doesn't receive a signal from my Godin A6 Ultra (which has a piezo and humbucker configuration) and also doesn't work with some of my piezo fitted guitars (although it works fine with my Taylor and PRS acoustics with active pickups). ![]()
